Fox News Anchor Breaks Down in Tears Live On Air: ‘I’m So …’

A Fox Business anchor became emotional during a live broadcast as he shared a personal story from his childhood. Charles Payne reflected on how his family took a significant financial decision when they purchased a farm in Alabama back in 1951.

During a town hall on Thursday called “Maintaining Unstoppable Prosperity,” Payne encouraged viewers to embrace the idea of taking financial risks in the market. To emphasize his point, he recounted the story of his grandparents and read the deed for the 60-acre farm they bought in the early 1950s.

Payne explained that a relative had recently found the deed, revealing how his grandparents, a Black family, had sacrificed everything to make the purchase. As he read from the deed, he noted that they had to part with valuable assets, including animals and farm equipment, to secure the property.

Payne’s voice grew emotional as he described how hard his grandparents worked to make this purchase a reality, saying, “They gave everything. Everything they had. They worked their a** off for years, and they gave it all for 60 acres to have their own. That’s a risk, folks. That’s a risk. I’m so grateful.”

In a separate segment, Payne was involved in a tense exchange with former Fox News contributor Geraldo Rivera during a “Hannity” segment. Rivera made a controversial statement regarding President Joe Biden’s trip to Ukraine, claiming the president had vetoed efforts to send Polish fighter jets. Payne disagreed with Rivera’s claim and criticized the air raid sirens in Ukraine, calling them “phony baloney Hollywood junk.”

Their heated exchange escalated when Payne insisted that Russia had been notified about Biden’s visit before it happened, a claim that was later confirmed by National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.
