The billionaire tech mogul was accused by MAGA social media star Ashley St. Clair, 26, of ignoring her after he fathered a child she allegedly gave birth to five months ago. On Saturday evening, Musk finally acknowledged the claim, simply writing “Whoa” in response to a separate post suggesting St. Clair “plotted for HALF A DECADE to ensnare” him.
But the conservative influencer fired back immediately, writing: “Elon, we have been trying to communicate for the past several days and you have not responded. When are you going to reply to us instead of publicly responding to smears from an individual who just posted photos of me in underwear at 15 years old?” Her response was removed from X within an hour of it being posted.
The Tesla and SpaceX CEO then announced he would be taking a break from X after neither confirming or denying St. Clair’s claim. He wrote: “Will be honing the product with the team all weekend, so offline until then”, but then shared a series of rambling tweets about Grok 3 being the “smartest AI on Earth.”
St. Clair, who announced her alleged child with Elon Musk on Friday, previously thanked those who were kind to her in response to the news. She wrote: “In all sincerity, appreciate the kind words. Wish I did not feel the need to make a statement. Kids should be off limits for journalists.
Her representative, Brian Glicklich, reiterated her claims, and said Musk and St. Clair were “privately working towards the creation of an agreement about raising their child for some time.”
St. Clair alleges the romance began when Musk “slid into” her DMs on X. She said: “Musk was very funny. He was smart. He was very down to Earth. It started with X interactions and he slid into my DMs. I think it was a meme.”
In her shocking announcement, she claimed she was forced to go public after being asked to “keep the pregnancy a secret”, telling the New York Post: “I was told to keep it secret. I was being asked to keep it a secret forever.”
