I use the term separated only because of this. Nevertheless, if things had worked out differently, I would have been divorced by now. She was initially anxious about how her young girls would handle the separation, but so far, spending time with her family and seeing their mother in a better frame of mind has helped them deal with this difficult period.
Ava and Zoe, on the other hand, continue to astound me every day with their resiliency. That they are able to continue is because of them. Transitioning to a new phase can be challenging for children, as I have seen firsthand…
Ava is a young lady of outstanding intelligence. In spite of her tender age, she is incredibly aware of her own feelings and can tell when something is off. The shift was expected to be challenging for her but she has really been quite happy with it.
I think my children can tell that I am more calm and happier because of the change in energy, she says. The fact that this is not a happy situation is undeniably a positive one for mama who is happier as a result. Nikki plans to post her own videos on her newly created Simply Nikki YouTube account.
Additional beauty vlogs and probably more decor films will also be included. There’s no way to know for sure how many times a week she’ll publish because she doesn’t do it like she and Jamie used to. For her or for her children, that’s not what she had in mind at all.
I really don’t want to be in a position where vlogging takes up all of our time any longer, she said. I want to spend more time with them one-on-one away from the camera, the filmmaker declares. I’ve done it before but this time I’m going to take my time.
Even though Nikki spent most of her youth and early adult years with Jamie, she confesses that moving on without him has been tough for her. She on the other hand has done what’s best for her and is eager to see where life takes her next. It’s a hard thing to go through, she said.
We divorced after six years of marriage. A lot of time is taken away from your schedule as a result of this. Because I spent the majority of my 20s in this relationship, I’m unlikely to say I’m just over it and I’m living my best life and everything is beautiful.
A positive development is that my mental state has improved yet the agony persists because it was a true experience in my life but we have to keep moving forward. I think it’s going to be great, she said about her impending journey. There’s a chill running down my spine.
Things are going to be great for me and my girls and I’m ecstatic to see what the future has in store for us, she says.
