Gabriella Laberge stuns ‘AGT’ judges with violin and angelic voice

America’s Got Talent, one of the world’s most popular talent shows, recently featured a familiar face for Eurovision fans. Gabriella Laberge, a French-Canadian singer and violinist who competed in France’s Destination Eurovision in 2019, delivered a breathtaking audition that captivated the audience and judges.
Before stepping onto the AGT stage, Gabriella shared her dreams in a pre-performance video. “This is the opportunity of my life,” she said, “to chase my biggest dream, which is doing music for the rest of my life.”
The Quebec-born artist then appeared with her violin, beginning her audition with a delicate solo performance.
While judges Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara, and Heidi Klum were visibly enthralled by her playing, Simon Cowell seemed less engaged. His hand hovered over the red buzzer, signaling his readiness to cut her performance short. But Gabriella had a surprise up her sleeve.
As she transitioned from playing to singing, Gabriella launched into a soulful rendition of James Blunt’s “Goodbye My Lover.” Her angelic voice immediately captured Cowell’s attention, prompting him to withdraw his hand from the buzzer.
The performance earned her a standing ovation from the judges and the audience, with Cowell himself joining the applause. The panel unanimously voted to send her through to the next stage of the competition.
However, Gabriella’s AGT journey is far from over. Her audition aired during the final round of the season’s auditions, episode eight.
With over 150 acts having received “yes” votes throughout the season, only 36 can move on to the live shows. Fans will need to wait for the series to return after a three-week break to learn whether Gabriella will be among the finalists.
Gabriella’s television appearances began in 2019 when she competed in the second season of France’s Destination Eurovision. Her song, “On cherche encore (Never Get Enough),” was a fan favorite.
However, despite her popularity, she was eliminated during the semi-finals. The competition was ultimately won by Bilal Hassani with the song “Roi.”

Gabriella Laberge’s AGT audition marks a new chapter in her career, showcasing her talent to a global audience and reigniting excitement among her Eurovision supporters.
Whether or not she advances to the live shows, her heartfelt performance has already left a lasting impression on viewers and judges alike.
