WATCH: Rioters Attack NBC News Crew in LA, Destroy News Truck while Forcing Reporters to Flee for Their Safety

A shocking video shows rioters attacking one of NBC News’ remote broadcasting units during a violent protest in Los Angeles, leaving the members of the news crew to flee for safety in a glaring example of the unhinged leftist chaos that has erupted in response to ICE’s raids.

For context, destructive protests broke out in Los Angeles, California, on June 6, 2025, in response to arrests made by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) personnel, who reportedly apprehended extremely dangerous criminals, according to President Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan. In a video shared on X, protestors can be seen running up to a vandalized NBC4 broadcast van and attempting to smash its windows with skateboards.

Furthermore, the destruction on display in the video, which was posted on June 10, 2025, is only a fraction of the overall chaos that has run rampant in L.A. since June 6. However, Karen Bass, the city’s woke mayor, sided with the destructive protestors and rioters in a statement on X that condemned ICE agents for apprehending illegal immigrant criminals, saying, “We will not stand for this.”

Writing on her official X account, Mayor Bass said, “This morning, we received reports of federal immigration enforcement actions in multiple locations in Los Angeles. As Mayor of a proud city of immigrants, who contribute to our city in so many ways, I am deeply angered by what has taken place.” She went on to argue that ICE’s efforts to arrest illegal immigrants “sow terror in our communities and disrupt the basic principles of safety in our city.”

After Mayor Bass posted her statement online, conservatives expressed their outrage in the comments, with MAGA influencer Paul A. Szypula writing, “You belong in jail for carelessly getting Angelenos k*lled in the wildfires you caused.” He added, “Obstructing ICE should land you a life sentence.” Another commenter chimed in, “You fight harder for illegals than for the victims of the fires.”

Moreover, border czar Tom Homan reacted to L.A. officials’ defense of the rioters in an interview with Fox News by defending the brave men and women working for ICE, saying, “ICE took a lot of bad people off the street that day. We arrest a sexual predator, arrest a gang member, arrest somebody that had an armed robbery conviction.” He added, “So, we made L.A. safer. The men and women of ICE and the men and women of Border Patrol made L.A. safer that day.”

In addition, Homan said that while ICE agents had put themselves in harm’s way to protect American citizens, the woke media were ignoring their efforts. Homan told Fox, “You’re not hearing any of this. All you hear is rhetoric about ICE being racists, about ICE being Nazis and terrorists.”

Along with Mayor Bass, California Governor Gavin Newsom, an outspoken critic of President Trump, said that Homan “is threatening to arrest me for speaking out,” adding, “I don’t give a damn. It won’t stop me from standing up for California.” However, the border czar told CBS News, “That whole thing’s been taken out of context,” explaining that the Trump Administration had “no plans” to arrest Gov. Newsom. “They haven’t crossed a line yet,” Homan added.
