“We Know Your Game”: Liz Warren Slammed after She Threatens Pro-Trump Tech CEOs in “Political Thuggery” Online, and In Letters

Sen. Liz Warren (D-MA) has recently faced pushback over her hostile posture toward the tech CEOs who donated and publicly supported President Donald Trump’s inauguration.  During the ceremony in the Capitol Rotunda, major figures in the tech space, such as Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, and Sam Altman, were seen surrounding the president as he was sworn in.

Democrats, who took relatively little issue with these figures in the past, are now up in arms with concerns now that they have expressed friendly sentiment toward Trump.  Warren and others are concerned that these CEOs will have an outsized influence on the current administration, claiming they are trying to obtain influence over the president.

“Big Tech billionaires have a front row seat at Trump’s inauguration. They have even better seats than Trump’s own cabinet picks. That says it all,” Warren wrote on X.  The Massachusetts Democrat received pushback from numerous users in the comments section. Former CEO Keith Ainsworth replied in the comments section, “If it was Biden, you’d be saying look how great it is to see Americas tech leader, supporting Biden. We know your game.”

Various other users flipped the script on Warren, suggesting the Democratic Party has a similar issue with George Soros’s funding and influence.  Conservative commentator Paul A. Szypula wrote, “George Soros funds you and the Democrats Elizabeth Warren. How much money does he have?”  Numerous other comments echoed this sentiment.

Furthermore, Warren recently sent a letter to the CEOs who donated to Trump’s Inauguration Fund, threatening them over their alleged attempt to gain favor in the president’s eyes.  The American Tribune previously wrote about the senator’s letters, “The letters were highly threatening thuggery in that 1) Liz Warren never sent such letters to founders and CEOs who donated to Biden’s Inaugural Fund, and 2) she essentially accused them of corruption and threatened lawfare because they donated to the Inaugural Fund for the Republican President.”

In her letter to Jeff Bezos, Warren wrote, “In the two months since the election, Big Tech companies including Amazon have made million dollar gifts to President-elect Donald Trump’s inaugural fund in what appears to be an effort to influence and sway the actions and policies of the incoming administration. Specifically, on December 12th, 2024 a company spokesperson confirmed your intention to donate $1 million to the inaugural fund.”

She continued, “Big Tech companies have come under increased scrutiny from federal regulators for antitrust violations, violations of privacy, and harms to workers, consumers, and competition.2 At the same time, lawmakers in both parties have voiced support for regulating tech platforms, in recognition that there is currently no comprehensive set of rules for the tech sector.”
